Breast sagging is a natural occurrence which follows age, whereby breast loose their suppleness and elasticity....and therefore face πŸ‘‡ downwards...

Sagging and drooping breasts can make one self aware of ones appearance and reluctant to wear certain clothing.





The breasts can start to droop or sag for a variety of reasons from poor support, pregnancy, rapid weight loss to aging.

Some therapies and exercises can be however be done to help firm and lift sagging breasts and also help delay the inevitable.

Though you might not turn back the clock to when you were 20, but you'll certainly see a noticeable difference, so there is hope. (Thank God)....

BREAST MASSAGE



Massaging your breasts is an excellent technique to firm, hydrate and soften the breasts. Massaging helps increase blood flow to the breasts....this helps collagen formation.

This can be done using a small amount of olive oil for about 15 minutes 2-3 times a week. Olive oil is a rich source of anti oxidants and fatty acids that reverse damages caused by free radicals plus it helps improve skin tone and texture.

You can also use vegetable oil, avocado oil, almond, jojoba or argan oil.

These oils are rich in vitamins to regenerate and protect the sensitive skin of the breasts, antioxidants which prevent aging of skin and also provide deep nourishment and hydration to restructure the skin of the breasts.

You should always massage from the outside towards the inside, and go around the nipple.


ICE MASSAGING



Yep!!! Ice can help tone the skin in and around the breast region.

This is done by rubbing ice over your breast in wide circular motions or by wrapping ice in a soft piece of cloth and using to massage your breast.

This should not be done for than one minute so as not cause numbness.

Opt for this massage at regular intervals throughout the day for firmer breast muscles and skin.



HYDROTHERAPY



You can use hydrotherapy (water therapy) to tone your breasts.

Hydrotherapy helps increase the blood circulation within your breasts thereby stimulating the synthesis of elastin and collagen.

These are responsible for making your breasts firmer and perkier.

How:

Whenever you are taking a shower, first rinse your breasts with warm water for a duration of 30 seconds. Then rinse them with the coldest water you can tolerate for a duration of 10 seconds.

Alternate rinsing between warm and cold water for a couple of minutes.

Always finish your treatment with the application of cold water.



NUTRITION



Poor nutrition can lead to saggy breasts, as nutrients are needed for breast and support.

Protein helps to improve muscle strength tone and firmness.

It is however essential to eat foods that are nutritionally rich and contain proteins, vitamins, calcium, minerals, carbohydrates and essential fats.

Some of the foods that you need to add to our daily meal include tomatoes, onions, carrots, cabbages, broccoli, cauliflower and garlic.

                                       WATER




Drinking lots of water helps to hydrate your skin and maintan its firmness.

Daily requirement is at least 8 glasses a day.


LOSE WEIGHT

 Lose weight to reduce the size of your breasts as breast tissue is made primarily of fat. In some cases, droopy or saggy breasts are caused by too much fatty tissue.

Healthy eating and performing  cardiovascular exercises help to shed pounds.

The standard recommendation is 30 minutes a day, five days a week to lose fat.

Noteworthy.....weight loss is expected to be gradual..and not sudden so the breast tissue reduces gradually...and reduces droopiness.


BREAST FIRMING EXERCISES


Swimming for 30 minutes regularly is said to help firm the breast like no other.



The following eexercises also help strengthen the muscles underlying and supporting the breasts.




Others include;

Push-up
Chest/ Pec Press
Standing press
Chest fly
Resistance bands

Do these chest firming exercises three times in a week.

Perform 1-3 sets comprising of 8-16 repetitions for each exercise. When you are able to do 3 sets of 12 repetitions of any particular exercise, then instead of increasing the repetitions, increase the resistance.

Note: take care to keep a difference of 48-72 hours between two sessions.


BREAST MASKING





Cucumber and egg mask is another excellent remedy for lifting the breasts.

Cucumber has natural skin toning property and egg yolk has high levels of protein and vitamins that can help treat sagging breasts.

How: Blend 1 small cucumber, mix in 1 egg yolk and 1 teaspoon of butter or cooking cream and make into a paste. Apply paste onto both breasts and leave on for about 30 minutes. Rinse off thoroughly with cold water. 

This can be done once a week to help firm and strengthen breast tissue.
