MY HOO HAA HAA'S GOT AN AROMA
Hello ladies and gentlemen,
Hmmm |
The gist for today is a very serious matter........
Ever wondered if its normal to give off an aroma from the sacred area called the VAGINA, well, well, the answer is YES it is.
It is perfectly natural for your hoo-haa-haa to have a certain slight aroma, "smell/odour", ,makes it all sound wrong.
But even as normal as this can get and with a bit of "off normal days" with stuff like diet, exercise and your daily activity, one should be able to tell between normal and abnormal.
Normal sweating also can cause a vaginal odour.
An abnormal vaginal odour more often than not is associated with other vaginal signs and symptoms such as itching, burning, irritation or discharge.
- Bacterial vaginosis
- Poor hygiene
- Retained or forgotten tampon
- Trichomoniasis
Lets throw some light on some of these red alerts.....
MUSKY!!!

A healthy vagina will have some sort of smell, but the scent will vary day to day depending on how active you are. Like after an intense workout class, the smell gets stronger. The musky smell is produced by surrounding sweat glands - and this is 100% normal.
SMELLY!!!
Its possible that the cause of feminine odour may be nothing more than poor hygiene. Its a complicated area down there, and caring for it isn't as easy. It is therefore essential to keep your lady parts fresh and clean.
HEY FISHY FISHY!!!
For example, a bacterial vaginosis, this is caused by an overgrowth of bacteria and this inturn upsets the delicate pH balance of the vagina, causing an increase in vaginal secretion and thus gives off a strong fishy smell, more espcially after sexual intercourse.
A foul odour with greenish discharge indicates trichomoniasis, a sexually transmitted disease.
So if you don't smell right down there, trust your instinct and see your doctor.
WANT SOME CHEESE, I'M BAKING SOME BREAD!!!
There is a radar of "something is wrong" when you notice a faint bread-like smell along with cottage cheese-like discharge.
BLEACHY!!!

Your vagina might give of different odours based on the type of lubricant or condom you use during sexual intercourse.
Many women have described this as a "bleachy" or chlorine-like odour.
SWEET!!!
There is a saying "You are what you eat".....well, same goes for your vaginal aroma.....certain citrus fruits such oranges and pineapples, grapefruit have been known to sweeten the smell and taste of vaginal fluids (don't go tasting it please)..lol.
While on the other hand, onions, garlic, broccoli and asparagus can cause what some describe as an "unpleasant" odour and taste.
So if you are truly concerned about an abnormal or persistent vaginal odour — especially if you have other signs and symptoms such as itching, burning, irritation or discharge.

In the meantime, to Minimize Vaginal Odour;
Wash your external genital area during regular baths or showers, use a very small amount of mild, fragrance-free soap and lots of water, because anything else can upset that sensitive area.
Avoid douching. All healthy vaginas contain bacteria and yeast. The normal acidity of your vagina keeps bacteria and yeast in check.
Douching can actually upset this delicate (pH) balance and kill these healthy bacteria.
So from me to you...i say remember not to forget you are beautiful just the way you are.....mmwah.
