Expectation vs. Reality |
Well this post is inspired by the price of staying well shaven and clean......and reducing the price therein.
Let's learn the right way to do this!!!
Needed...are a pair of scissors, brand new shaving stick, shaving cream (if preferred), mild lotion (preferably baby lotion), a hand mirror, some warm water, soft washcloth or face towel and obviously your pubic area...😜😝.
Next take position...
Notables
Shaving your pubic hair is as safe as shaving any other body part.
Clean and well shaven pubic hair reduces the risk of infection, itching and odour (from excessive sweating).
A clean and well shaven pubic area reduces the risk of infection, itching and odour--- shaving is the better way to go...not a must.
It increase sensitivity to stimulation, and actually increase some men's libido.
A manicured mane has a lovely landscape and definitely more inviting and attractive.
Shaving should be done patiently and slowly so as not to nick the sensitive skin.
Safety Guidelines when Shaving Pubic Hair
Use a hand mirror so you can see the area you want to shave.
Trim with a pair of scissors as much hair as possible before you begin shaving – not a dull one though......some people may choose to stop here.....but for a cleaner shave...
Go on.
Soak in the tub for at least 5 minutes to soften the skin and pubic hair before you shave.
OR ......
Dab warm water or prep area by applying a towel soaked in warm water over surface before beginning.....this is more like a skin prepping "ritual".
You can choose to lather area up with soap....
Get your brand new shaving stick or blade....
OR....
Apply area-appropriate shaving cream or gel (better containing aloe vera or another soothing agent) over area you plan to shave.
Stretch the skin with one hand and shave with the other hand.
Avoid using too much pressure...this prevents cuts and nicks as well reduce the post shaving bump ordeal ...gentility is key.
Remember to shave in the direction that the hair grows, using slow strokes...not just up and down....
OR
.....dab off shaving cream with a damp soft towel after waiting for the required minutes.
(Remember to test shaving cream over small skin area to ascertain you are not sensitive to it before use).
Rinse your skin with warm water after you are done shaving and then pat dry.....do not rub.
Apply baby oil or baby lotion to the shaved area once done..helps soothen area.
We don't want this...
Avoid scented products because they tend to sting and burn the skin....this leaves skin dark.
However please NOTE,
Removing pubic hair may seem to be trendy, but that doesn’t mean you have to do it.
However, if you do decide to remove your pubic hair, be sure to do it right and safely.
